Santiago, October 13th, 2023 - The Chilean Chamber of Construction (CChC) launched the 23rd edition of the International Edifica Fair, recognized as the largest meeting of the Hispanic-American construction industry, to be held from October 15th to 17th, 2024, at Espacio Riesco.

Since 1990, the CChC has promoted the realization of Edifica, bringing together companies, suppliers, professionals, and authorities interested in advancements in the design, management, and implementation of new technologies in the construction industry.

In its 2024 edition, Edifica will have economic reactivation as its main focus. This theme was highlighted at the launch event by the President of the Chilean Chamber of Construction, Juan Armando Vicuña. 'Edifica is a privileged space for our industry to grow and develop. It is a gateway that allows us to access new technologies, products, and services that will make us more efficient, more productive, and more sustainable. It also has the particularity that, along with achieving a business objective, it shows paths to address socially relevant issues.'

In this sense, the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Carlos Montes, emphasized the realization and contribution of Edifica. 'We want to value this international fair, which has been bringing together the main players in the sector for more than 30 years: companies, suppliers, professionals, academics, authorities, and hopefully many students as well. All of this is with the purpose of seeing advancements in design, management, and application of new technologies in the construction industry.'

Likewise, Montes added, 'there is unanimity in knowing that this sector requires a leap in productivity and quality, which is a fundamental requirement for development and responding to the country's needs.

On his part, the Director General of Public Works, Boris Olguín, highlighted that the Ministry of Public Works 'has more than 500 tenders nationwide, with the aim of reactivating the economy, generating employment, and constructing infrastructure and public buildings. We need more companies working with the Ministry every day, and this fair is an opportunity for everyone.'

Francisco Cerón, president of Edifica, stated, 'In 2024, we have a challenge that surpasses previous editions: we are in a delicate economic situation. However, we decided to inject energy into this Fair. Add optimism, willingness, and above all, a spirit of growth and reactivation.

Edifica 2024

Edifica is a meeting point for the entire construction value chain, allocating spaces to improve the productivity and quality of this sector through new technologies and knowledge transfer.

The EDIFICA 2024 Fair will take place between October 15th and 17th next year at Espacio Riesco, with a focus on economic reactivation.

Andrés Ilabaca, general manager of Espacio Riesco, stated, 'It is an honor, and we appreciate the trust that the CChC has placed in our convention center to jointly organize the next edition of Edifica 2024. They are coming back home, and we are confident that we will build a great fair in 2024.'

In this sense, this edition promises more than 30,000 square meters of exhibition space and the participation of around 400 exhibiting companies, representing more than 5,000 brands from Chile, Asia, America, and Europe.

During the three days of the fair, visitors will have the opportunity to attend technical talks, specialized workshops, and real-scale construction demonstrations. All designed to keep attendees informed about the latest trends and advances in construction solutions and technologies.
